Technology supported lectures
A couple of interesting items about the way technology is being used to support student learning in respect of lectures:
- this morning The Independent had an article on downloading lectures as podcasts - "Download your notes here", some are great advocates of this approach, but others such as Allison Littlejohn at the Caledonian Academy are more sceptical
- one of the CETLs at the University of Birmingham, the Centre of Excellence in Interdisciplinary Mental Health has just circulated details of their facilities for recording lectures - take a look at their promo video here
Plagiarism
Interesting article in Education Guardian this week reminding us all that we need to take care to correctly attribute work we cite, it's not just students who have been caught in the act of plagiarism. Take a look at "
